Tanya Morgan is an actor, writer, producer, director, comedian, acting instructor, improv performer and improv coach. She began her career acting on stage, film and in commercials. Tanya has been writing and performing sketch comedy with her sketch team The Rhubarbs since they were thrown together as part of a sketch competition over three years ago. Tanya performs comedy improv regularly with indie improv teams Daddy Issues, The NCrowd, Not Yet Rated: An Improvised Movie, No Diggity, and NyteShift at various theaters throughout Philadelphia, Maryland and NYC. You can catch Tanya starring in Comedy Sportz improvised Hallmark movie, Hallmarkable this December as well as Crossroads Comedy Theater in Holiday Jawn and Borrowed Time.

Tanya’s recent acting role was starring as Susan in the hilarious stage play Dearly Departed at Allen’s Lane Theater; as Jessica in the stage play Holy Maria at Pulley and Buttonhole Theatre Company; Katie in the comedic play Why Are You Like This? Tanya has also performed during the Philly Fringe Festival in Nate Crawford's Everybody Loves Each Other These Days, and Nick Gillette's Myths and Monsters.

Tanya is also a teaching artist and a social emotional learning interventionist. She recently started her own non-profit theatre company, Sawubona Creativity Project located in South Philly, where she teaches applied improvisation, acting, devised playwriting through a social emotional learning lens. Tanya has produced and directed children and family friendly shows throughout Philadelphia and New Jersey. Her most recent project wrapped on November 19th with a stage reading of student plays at William Jeanes Library in Lafayette Hill.
